Watertown, Mass.- The management of Tekeyan Cultural Association’s “Dr. Nubar Berberian Trust Fund” has announced the names of Armenian students awarded in 2022 for their academic studies.
They are:
Davit Azizyan
University of Minnesota Twin Cities, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Minor in Pre-law, graduating in 2025. Born in the village of Dzovaper, Armenia
Ani Mkrtchyan
University of Maryland, Bachelor of Arts in International Law and Minor in International Business, Graduating 2026. Born in Yerevan, Armenia.
Noted journalist and Armenian activist Dr. Nubar Berberian passed away on November 23, 2016. His entire estate has bequeathed to the Tekeyan Cultural Association, Inc.. The Board of Directors of TCA decided to establish the irrevocable “ Dr. Nubar Berberian Trust Fund” and accomplish his will by publishing this year a book of his Armenian language articles and editorials under the title ՌԱԿԻ ԱՆԽՈՆՋ ԽՄԲԱԳՐԱՊԵՏԸ “Dr. Nubar Berberian, the editor, the publisher, the national figure”, compiled and edited by Hagop Vartivarian, and use yearly interests to give awards to college students of Armenian descent who major in either International Law or Political Science.
This year is the fifth award.
